Getting Started

This section covers the essentials of how our moving tote rental service works, everything from placing your order to choosing the right package that meets your needs. You’ll also find details on what’s included with every rental and how long you can keep your totes, so you can plan your move the easiest ever.

Our moving tote rental process is designed to be simple and stress-free. Just choose the package that fits your move, select your delivery date, how long you want to use the totes and select a pick up date.  We will drop the totes right at your doorstep. You pack, move, and unpack at your own pace using our sturdy reusable totes. When you’re done, we will pick up everything on your scheduled pick-up date—no breaking down boxes or dealing with waste. It’s an easy, eco-friendly way to streamline your entire move.

We recommend placing your order at least 5–10 days before your moving date to ensure the totes and any add-ons you need are available. However, we understand that moves can come up quickly, so we do our best to accommodate last-minute bookings whenever possible. We do require 48 hours to ensure all items are in stock and available for you. Booking earlier helps guarantee your preferred delivery date and time. If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out and we’ll help you secure the best option for your schedule.

Choosing the right package depends on the size of your home or office, how many items you plan to pack, and whether you’ll need specialty add-ons like dollies, packing paper, bubble wrap or a hand cart. Each package on our website includes a clear description of what it’s best suited for, along with the number of totes suggested. If you’re unsure, start by selecting the package that matches your number of rooms. You can also review each product page, or contact us and we’ll gladly help you pick the perfect fit for your move.

When you rent totes from us, you receive sturdy, ready-to-use reusable moving totes delivered right to your door. Each tote has an attached lid for easy close and stacking. One label per tote is included to help you stay organized during your move. One dolly is included with your package. When you’re done, we pick everything up—no breaking down boxes or dealing with waste.

Our standard rental period is two weeks, giving you plenty of time to pack, move, and unpack without stress. If you need the totes longer, you can easily extend your rental for a small daily fee. We’ll coordinate pickup based on your schedule, so there’s no rush. Just let us know if you need extra time, and we’re happy to accommodate!

 

After You Book (What Happens Next?)

After you place your order, you’ll receive a confirmation and a reminder before your delivery date so you know exactly what to expect. Our team will notify you when your driver is on the way.  Someone will need to be available when the totes arrive. If you need to adjust your delivery time or add extra totes or supplies, you can just simply add the items that you need—changes are quick and easy to accommodate.

You can expect your delivery confirmation and reminder shortly after your order is processed. Typically, we send a confirmation email within 24 hours of booking, and a reminder is sent 1–2 days before your scheduled delivery. We will also communicate with you when we are on the way with your delivery.   Be sure to check your email inbox (and spam folder just in case) for these notifications. If you haven’t received them within this timeframe, please contact our support team so we can ensure your delivery details are correct.

Yes, you or a designated person will need to be home or on site for your tote delivery.  At the time of the delivery, the totes and equipment will be counted and signed for. Totes cannot be left outdoors unattended.  For larger deliveries or commercial locations, we recommend coordinating with our team in advance to ensure everything goes smoothly.

If you need to change your delivery date or time, no problem! Simply contact us as soon as possible via text or email with your updated schedule. We’ll do our best to accommodate your new request, depending on availability. Please note that changes may be limited if your delivery is very close or during peak moving times, so early notice is always appreciated. Once confirmed, we’ll send you an updated delivery confirmation with the new date and time.

You will be notified via email and text that the delivery is loaded, and it is on the way.  You will receive this notification 1-2 hours just before your deliver.

If you realize you need extra totes or additional items after booking, don’t worry! You can easily add more to your order by adding them to your cart under the ad to order tab.  We’ll check availability and update your order so everything you need is ready for your move. It’s best to let us know as soon as possible to ensure we can accommodate your request without any delays.

Using the Totes

You’ll also learn whether they can be used outdoors, and what happens if a tote is accidentally damaged during your move.

 
 

Each of our reusable moving totes is designed to hold up to 66 pounds comfortably, making them perfect for books, kitchen items, office supplies, and other heavy belongings. The totes are commercial grade and their reinforced construction helps prevent bending or collapsing, so your items stay secure during transport. For the safest move, we recommend filling totes with heavier items on the bottom and lighter items on top. Stay in the recommended weight for your safety.

Yes! Group similar items together and pack heavier items at the bottom with lighter items on top. Fill empty gaps with soft items like towels or linens to prevent shifting and maximize every inch of space. Be sure to fully close tote lids so they stack neatly and safely during transport. Label each tote as you go—this keeps you organized and makes unpacking faster and easier.

Labeling your totes isn’t required, but it’s highly recommended to keep your move organized and make unpacking faster. Each tote has a slightly raised are under the handles where you can apply the removable labels that are provideded—just write the room name or a short description of what’s inside. One label is provided per tote.  Additional labels are available for purchase.  When your move is complete, simply peel off the labels or tape before your pickup.

The totes are made from durable, heavy-duty plastic that offers basic protection against light rain and everyday weather conditions. However, we do ask that totes are not left outdoors in the elements.  Totes will need to be indoors or inside of a garage or storage building.  If you need to sit items outside temporarily during a move, they’ll hold up well—just avoid leaving them exposed for long periods to ensure your belongings stay safe and dry and for longer tote life.

If a tote becomes damaged during your rental period, please  let us know as soon as possible. Normal wear and tear is expected and won’t result in any additional charges. However, significant damage beyond standard use may incur a replacement fee so we can keep our inventory in great shape for all customers. A damage deposit for all rentals is required and is refundable once all rented items are returned with no damage. For any damage we will review the situation with you and make the process simple and transparent.

Policies & Requirements

This section covers the all of the essential guidelines customers need to know before booking, including our cancellation rules, rental agreement expectations, and what items you cannot pack in our totes. You’ll also find information on how we handle deliveries outside our service area and what refund options are available if your move is cancelled or rescheduled. These details help ensure a smooth, stress-free, easy rental experience from beginning to end.

Renters must cancel orders more than forty-eight (48) hours prior to its scheduled delivery time. For a successfully cancelled order, the full amount will be refunded to the Renter, LESS a five percent (5%) administrative fee. If a Renter cancels its order within forty-eight (48) hours, the Renter will not receive a refund, but will receive a EMT credit for the amount of the order LESS a five percent (5%) administrative fee that can be used toward future rentals of equipment. If the Renter cancels its order after delivery of the equipment, there will be no refund

All renters will read and sign a rental agreement at the time of purchase of a package.

Even though the totes are very durable and heavily constructed, we do prohibit you from pouring water into the totes. Also no pets are allowed in the totes.  Glass items should be wrapped in towels or packaging paper to prevent breakage. All liquid items such as oils, shampoos, lotions, etc should be in protective, sealed bags before placing in the totes.

Service areas are defined on the service area map.  Consideration for areas outside of the service area will be reviewed individually and will be at the discretion of EMT. Additional fees will be charged for anything outside of the designated service area.

EMT requests that Renter’s call text, or email EMT immediately upon requiring a change to its rental period. EMT will try to accommodate the change, subject to equipment availability. For requested changes to the rental period, if the length of the rental period is not changing but the dates are, EMT will accommodate the change free of charge, subject to equipment availability. If the length of the rental is increasing, EMT will accommodate the change upon payment of extended rental charge.  If we cannot accommodate the new dates and the Renter needs to cancel its order, EMT will process the cancellation, subject to the cancellation policy.
